PROGRAMMING

Using the Social Emotional Learning framework, A Frame of Mind offers educational programs for youth and teens ages five to twenty.  The programs strive to educate participants the importance of emotional wellness through visual arts prompts, mindful activities, and creative movement. The purpose of the programming is to develop appropriate intra-personal skills, healthy coping mechanisms and social responsibility to foster lifelong success focusing on self-care and positive mental health.

A Frame of Mind’s current curriculum focus is in:

  • Teenage cisgender/transgender girls and gender non-conforming teens with bipolar disorder, who experience depression, and who have low self-esteem.
  • Adjudicated youth residing in intervention facilities.

***Please note- A Frame of Mind is not Art Therapy.  We share art as a tool for self-expression and self-exploration. Our educators are licensed teachers and teaching artists who facilitate the creative process. We do not offer any interpretation or diagnosis.  If you are in need of a therapist or professional psychiatric care, we can help you contact a licensed provider to further assist your needs. **
